The symbolism of a certain animal, the “○○○○○”. In Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, the ○○○○○, once extinct in the wild in Japan, has been successfully reintroduced to the wild. There are ○○○○○ characters painted around train stations and on street shutters, products related to the ○○○○○, and ○○○○○-shaped mailboxes. We see those more often than the ○○○○○ itself. It is true that the ○○○○○ is a "symbol of Toyooka. However, I had a strange feeling about the distance between the symbol and those made into the symbol. The ○○○○○ is also known as a "symbol of happiness" and a "symbol of symbiosis with nature. Being made into symbols seems to extend to a point that has little to do with them themselves.
A special ball game called "symbolic tamaire" was performed. The "symbol ball" imitates the ○○○○○, and the "cage tower" imitates the artificial nest tower in which the ○○○○○ lives. Balls were freely thrown in with these competition tools. However, one rule was established. In advertising, in the actual performance, and in conversation, we were not to use the word “○○○○○” at all. It was replaced by another word such as "symbol of Toyooka" or "symbol of happiness. The reason for this was to have the participants experience that mysterious feeling. The goal is to make the act of “symbol tamaire" a new symbol.
